Susan Pascal

Jazz vibraphonist Susan Pascal has played four tours of Singapore and concerts, workshops and clinics across the United States. Her Pacific Northwest performances include the Earshot Jazz Festival, Centrum Jazz Port Townsend, Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Vern Sielert Dektet, Steve Griggs Ensemble, Pearl Django, Greta Matassa, and many others. Pascal is heard on film soundtracks including “The Wedding Planner”, “Office Space”, ”Eulogy” and “Mirror, Mirror”, and on recordings by the Steve Griggs Ensemble, vocalist Greta Matassa, the Vern Sielert Dektet, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Pascal’s eclectic interests are represented in her diverse projects: the Soul Sauce Quintet, a tribute to Latin jazz legend Cal Tjader;  the Brazil Project, featuring the rhythmic and melodic traditions of Brazil; Straight Up and Down, highlighting compositions of Chick Corea, and The Journey Home, presenting music of Keith Jarrett in a quintet format. A graduate of the University of Washington, Pascal resides in Seattle, Washington.
